Apologies for kissing you but I had no other way of seeing it in use.

Two things - 1) I had the 'home' checked but nothing seemed to appear there although it is getting a bit clogged up.

    2) You need to test with a variety of background colors - my profile is transparent and dark so the text was hard to read and I guess with a blue background you wouldn't see any text?

hehe thank you for testing it Eddie. :) Earlobe :D

yah I have no code in home, maybe I should add a icon to go to the canvas page ??

I do everything in the profile, but you are right I need to add it there.

About the text.. hmm this is a tough issue. How are all of you getting around this? I completly forgot that myspace users can have any background they like. (Im a new user :) )

What would be better in my view would be something that told me if I had any new kisses or if not possible the kiss count

and a link off to the canvas.

As I've said elsewhere I spend my time on home and rarely view my own profile.

Myspacers are particular with their profiles - ugly apps (and I'm not saying your is) won't end up on profiles - simple as.

I don't know what code you are using - I use Flash so just put a box in the Background. Though for some apps I want to allow the user to customise its colors - i'll add you as its friend later.

It might be nice if you also made the complete code available - there are WAY too many malicious apps (whether intentional or unintentional) out there.  I am suspicious of EVERY app.  There are too many "phone home" or "back door" holes in many of them, or just poorly written code that can be exploited by others.

Your's is a cute app, and I would hate to think any of that was in play, again whether intentional or unintentional.

Also, it might be nice to link to your home page so we can see who you are.  I've seen other app developers (can we say "I Just Bought You As My Pet" whose apps have turned out to be .... exploitable (I won't go so far as to say intentional, but others have said it) who keep their profiles private - that makes me question their motives right off the bat.

    Hope you understand  :)

Oh, ok, I see you do have your link listed on the app page, but why is YOUR profile set to private?

Again, just makes me wonder ...

DO NOT MAKE YOUR COMPLETE CODE AVAILABLE.

See, dragon.. this is how people steal stuff. No app developer should ever make their code available on the internet. If you are worred about the app, don't install it. We have reviewers checking TOU/guidelines and secruity issues.

    Leave that to us, please.

Hmmm, in fact,if you're so good at developing MySpace apps, how come your page doesn't even have a unique URL?

You seem more suspicious by the minute, "Timothy".

Maybe because he read the FAQ and you have not? :)

Kris has been a developer here for a very long time. Judging by your posts, you don't develop applications.

Please do not question our developers. That is not what this place is for.

Then please explain to me how the "I Bought You As My Pet"/"See How Much You Are Worth" managed to get through your team's "review"?  The code to that have has been SHOWN to pass your email and password to a specific address.  I have PERSONALLY known people who have had their profiles phished after installing that app!

No, making code available isn't how people steal - it's called OPEN SOURCE, and if you are truly a programmer, then you must surely have heard of it.

    Re: Kiss Me app

I'm not going to explain anything to you.

The app does NOT pass your email. Apparenlty you're not familiar with OS enough to realize that for internal apps, that is not even an option.

Open source is a way of developing. It doesn't mean that you can or SHOULD post your code to anyone. PERIOD.  Read our documentation link (references) if you want the OPEN SOCIAL code.

Thanks and have a nice day. More posts like this will be deleted.

    Re: Kiss Me app

The app asks a user to enter an email address for some mailing list or another. If you DID do that, you are handing your email address to the developer - and I don't know what they do with it.

We, as in MySpace, do not give your personal account information to the developer.

If you think the app is doing something questionable, always let us know, but also ALWAYS talk to the developer.
