hi, i have a test application running, but i cant get the app invites work.

it seems to do everithing fine, but it doesnt send the invitations (it shows the success window).

my appID is 197351.

maybe anyone of the staff could try it and see what is wrong. comparing with other apps that effectively work, the only difference i see is one line in the http://www.myspace.com/games/mdppostto?opensocial_token=...... call. the difference in my invitationis is that it does not have: MDPPostToAppInvite.SuccessfulRecipients.push(558308185); (this with only one recipient).

anything else seems to be working ok.

App invites limit is not working properly

Hi,

I have tested with multiple accounts and on multiple applications - the limit of 60 invites/day/app does not reset after a day (24 hours), neither after multiple days.
Basically, if you send 60 invites you can't send any more invites on that app again.
Please check this issue,

We are using this code for sending app invites:

This for getting params:
gadgets.views.getParams().from;

But i don't see any params from that.

Hi all,

I am working for few days regarding the invite friends feature in my app. I follwed the instructions as suggested by http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=124833&newinstall=1

I modified the code and it works when I test it in a sample page. But when i embed the script in my app which uses the cakephp structure, I am getting the message Oops! There was a problem fulfilling your request in the window that should dispaly the friendslist.

I don't know whats going wrong here. Anybody know the possible cause for this error message?

and

are empty (but set)

When I test the DEMO app provided by Myspace, the invite-pop-up tells me there is an error (before returning to the canvas)

Anyway to debug this?

Including custom parameters in App Invites is broken

I am trying to attach custom parameters to app invites but it is not working. When a user accepts an invite (requestShareApp), I want custom parameters to be in the URL of the page they arrive at.

I am following the instructions here: http://wiki.developer.myspace.com/index.php?title=App_Invites in the section about "Including custom parameters".

My parameter setting looks like this:

	navParams.setField('destinationType', opensocial.NavigationParameters.DestinationType.RECIPIENT_DESTINATION);

This results in a URL like this:

	http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=186835&newinstall=1&pm_cmp=mdp_186835_Unknown_&appparams=%257b%2522src%2522%253a%2522something%2522%257d

When the page is loaded, the app params are not accessible. It appears as though the "appparams" var has been urlencoded twice. I would expect the URL to look like this:

	http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=186835&newinstall=1&pm_cmp=mdp_186835_Unknown_&appparams=%7b%22src%22%3a%22something%22%7d

Please let me know if I am doing something wrong. Otherwise I suspect there is a bug.

Hi,

I am having problems with requestShareApp function, It is returning following error when I try to send invites.

({originalDataRequest_:null, data_:-1, errorCode_:"internalError", errorMessage_:"Error sending request.", responseValues:{success:[, failure:[}})

response.hadError() is true.

I noticed the same problem with some other apps also. I tried to switch to Comments and Messages for friends who are non app users but got following response:

 "user is either not a friend, currently not accepting messages from
apps, blocked this specific app, or does not have HTML enabled for
comments.
The requested message or comment from this application will not be delivered."

It appears that something is broken in invites.

Posted activity does not shown on profile

I can post an activity to the profile using latest (Nov, 9) opensocial sdk. In response i get a correct 'statusLink', but I cant see a posted activity in the Activity Stream box.

I have a stressfull error for 2 days. I'm still looking over the code but I'm not able to find the error.

Iam working on a myspace application which requires the app invites to be sent to friends.

Iam using [iframe] and opensocial 0.7
I could not get any kind of help or support from the forums.

Please can you help me, what are the steps i need to follow to send app invites ?

Iam unaware of the function to be used to invite friends to my myspace application.

Actually i have developed an application called Downtown Wars on facebook, which i have customised again for my myspace application.

I used 2 test accounts to send invite from one account to another. Today I notice that the invite form said the invite was successfully sent, but the receiving account get no invite. This happened on my app and other apps as well.

I used the new multiple users invite form like this:

opensocial.requestShareApp(selectedIds, messageInvte, doSendInvites_cb);

Where selectedIds is an array.

Hello,

I am using OpenSocial 8 APIs to sent App invites and messages in my javascript code. Everything works fine in Firefox.

The problem is with Safari 4.0.2 and IE8 where, though the Invites and Messages are being sent successfully, the call back function for them is not getting executed.

Here is the code,

How should I get it working in IE8 and Safari?

I am getting errors quite often when sending invites (opensocial.requestShareApp) and messages (opensocial.requestSendMessage).

Responses to the callback function of these responses will have response.hadError() with response.getErrorCode() of "internalError" and response.getErrorMessage() of "Error sending request.".

How should I handle this? Something I am doing wrong, or is this just normal behavior?

Tracking the users adding application via app invites

I want to track the users who are adding my application via App Invites. I read in the forum that, myspace is sending extra parameter install_location=appinvites in the install call back. Is it appended to the install call back? For me the install call back is somehow not working.

Any clue, how I can track the app installs via invites?
