Large White Rectangle covers game

Right now, in Modzilla FireFox, all games I opened were covered with a large white rectangle. Every game.The games are completely unplayable within the MySpace Frame, and there is no way to close or remove the white rectangle.

There is no way for players to report this issue, there is no contact link anywhere on MySpace... How do we get this fixed?

hallo i am developing an application that needs to integrate myspace and post video on it , for that i am using myspace android-sdk but i am getting this error ,

oauth.signpost.exception.OAuthNotAuthorizedException: Authorization failed (server replied with a 401). This can happen if the consumer key was not correct or the signatures did not match.

Although my consumer key is correct, on lots of searching on google i can't find any solution , is there is any bug on myspace api. Please help me , if

anyone knows the solution for above problem.

Login Form from autoInitiateInstall does NOT redirect back to app

While we have been working around platform bugs for the past eyar, this one is important enough that the Myspace Development Team might want to make a fix due to the impact to advertising sales.

Basically, when a logged out user clicks on app link with "autoInitiateInstall=true" (which is the only way we were told to prompt user to install the app), they will be given dialog with "Login to Myspace" and "Signup Free" blue buttons. If they click the former, it goes a redirector to the full login page at https://www.myspace.com/auth/form. After user login from there, they are taken back to the home page instead of being redirected to the app. If they choose to sign-up flow, it also goes back to the home page. This makes the user forget where they are going to thus makes conversion nearly impossible.

Reproduction Step:

1. Logged out user clicks on a paid app link: eg: http://www.myspace.com/games/play/183301?autoInitiateInstall=true&appParams=%7B%22refpid%22%3A%22myad1%22%7D

2. User chooses either "Login to Myspace" or "Signup free" when prompted that they must be logged in to use the app.

3. Complete either flow, and user goes to the home page instead, without the app installed. This means the user will most likely never be able to get back to the app.

If anyone knows a work around for this, it would really be appreciated.

PS. If the MySpace Development Team manages actually have a chance to read this post, you might want to fix another nasty issue where using the javascript postTo function with the SEND_MESSAGE target will fail and cause the user account to be blocked. (We had changed to use COMMENTS target to work around this)

Error saving app settings

Error page appears when saving app settings. Seems to happen when adding icons.

Steps
Click on My Apps

Click on the edit icon for an app

Browse for small and large icon

Click Save

Results
http://developer.myspace.com/modules/common/static/html/errorpage.html appears

App is unable to save icons and therefore can not Publish.

Developer Apps no longer work

Developer apps no longer work, when trying to access developer apps get the following response:

403 - Forbidden: Access is denied.

You do not have permission to view this directory or page using the credentials that you supplied.

Is this a known issue? Is it going to get fixed? Is anyone reading this?

"Error saving gadget source" message on gadget save

Hi there.

We've got error "Error saving gadget source" while trying to modify and save working gadgets xml. After that we tried to save simple gadget with required params only, here it is:

We also got the same error. Gadget validation was passed with no errors.

Profile Image Links Broken

Current image urls returned in the user objects are referencing broken links. For example: http://a2.l3-images.myspacecdn.com/profile01/116/0fb2034a7cbc4efc8d640f3d13bbb776/s.png Is what is currently returned as the users image and results in a 404 error. Change "l3-images" to "ec-images" fixes the issue: http://a2.ec-images.myspacecdn.com/profile01/116/0fb2034a7cbc4efc8d640f3d13bbb776/s.png

Major Site Wide Issue (November 18th-Now)

There seems to be a major site wide issue with MySpace that looks like it started November 18th and is still ongoing. Looks like it has to do with events.json and causes any page on MySpace to grind to a halt freezing Firefox/Chrome browsers. Here is an example link that gets pinged, http://318.webim0249.webim.myspace.com/api/v1/events.json, through Firebug it looks like 9 open connections are made. Is this being looked into?

REST API / MySpaceID displays HTML entities instead of symbols

Seems like any special characters sent to the MySpaceID REST endpoints are replaced by HTML entities. URLENCODING or HTML entifying the status text before doesn't help. Nor does escaping via addslashes do any good.

I can confirm this issue for the StatusMood endpoint.

Can't edit application profile

I'm unable to edit the application profile. When I click the edit button it return me to the application profile home page. I haven't been able to edit it for maybe 6+ months.

Fill all required field, click on Next... Page just refresh and nothing. No error display.

The remote name could not be resolved

New Apps not working and No Icon

Hi,

I created new Apps for our new server environments; App IDs: 202957, 202956, 202955, 202954, so that I could deprecate the apps for our old environments. The old apps; App IDs: 128529, 133174 are functioning fine.

When I try to use the new apps, such as 202957, I am receiving the following:

I am sure you are aware, but in-case not all MySpace canvas apps are down. When trying to go to a game link a user is redirected to the following URL with a "Oops Something Went Wrong..." message. http://www.myspace.com/error?ETOID=0&EC=500 **Looks like it has now been fixed. Thank you!

Denied after two weeks says I am pravate

My App was denied after waiting for a response for two or more weeks, for them only to leave a not saying that it is private.... it is not private on the application profile for anything at all.... I have played the game for hours used the chat from other accounts... why are they punishing us for the Myspace bugs they are Myspace after all can they not see it is not private? or even change it. or enter regardless... I am not understanding the point of Myspace any more. nothing works and they seem to either not know whats going on or just do not care that the changes that have been made to myspace are hopelessly awful. I have no training of any kind what I do know I am self taught and even I know that a site that rejects the users wishes is a flop. there is not one single part of myspace that has not been wrecked why nothing works at any given time I have seen it all, not able to sign on, pages missing wont load locked out locked up sometimes it is just time to step back and do whats right the support is useless the response is useless the action of myspace is just not there. give control back to the user NOTHING IS PRIVATE ON MYSPACE myspace has even changed who sees you no one has control here so how is anyone protected... if it was not for the applications I know about 250 people who wouldn't waste there time here anymore. And I have seen 800 move to facebook over the last year. myspace is in a sad state and it is getting worse ever heard of using testers who gladly sign up for beta? aol did it in the 90's and people where content because they were asked and expectant of problems, someone at the top has no idea what they are doing, or the tec team are a bunch of chimps. Problem with refresh URL

We have developed a desktop client which has supported MySpace for nearly 2 years. There are many customers using it, but login recently broke (it has been reported by customers). After logging in via the login web page, http://api.myspace.com/authorize?oauth_token={token}&myspaceid.permissions=AddPhotosAlbums&oauth_callback={refresh URL} we are not sent to refresh URL any more but back to myspace URL with parameters refresh URL is supposed to get, which is a page that does not exist. This issue is critical, as I mentioned, there are many customers using the application.

Broken Icon showing in games search results

Hi,

We updated our app large icon, and submited the changes through publish changes. (From this page: http://developer.myspace.com/modules/apps/pages/EditApp.aspx?appid=175294)

The new icon appears on MyApps, but when I goto GAMES > SEARCH, and type in SMINGLE, our icon is a broken image and the large icon DOES NOT show up in the search results (http://www.myspace.com/search/games?q=dating&ac=t#query=mingle&type=application ).

Any ideas what is wrong? I thought it was just a glitch so I waited a week just to see if it would eventually update, but it did not.

Canvas problem

Seems that something is broken with canvas apps now. We have been getting hit with customer complaints about the apps not working. We can tell exactly what is failing but it seems to be in the API.
