There are APIs which enable photo uploads, etc. which should suit your purposes. Yes, they fit in with the Opensocial/OAuth standards, too.

thanks,

Joel

Please help me become a developer!

Hey everyone, I'm new, but determined!

I am a graphic designer who has been playing with web development for the past year or so. I want to start learning more programming to help me become well rounded. I catch on easy, but this API stuff is tricky as it intersects many languages. My problem is that I can not start from the beginning and can not find the beginning, lol. I want to my users to get access to their other networks by the API. I have experience with html/css and some php, but would like to get more familiar with Javascript and others that make this API stuff look fun. I am self taught and live out in the boonies, so please consider helping me. My passion for computers will keep me going, but I need a start from someone.

I have read hours of material about the codes, but putting it together is the unknown part. I would like to know how specifically how to implement the oAuth on my site so visitors can have their friends or photos load up on a specific section. I don't know how to authenicate a user and have their myspace credentials readily available. I have did this in facebook with their easy programming, but myspace has been tricky, yet adding great new features. What do i need to add to my hosting server, i have the open social library? Is there a javascript file i need?

I appreciate anyone's help and will make sure to look out for them in my nerd conquest, ;)
