In home surface - opensocial.IdSpec is undefined

Hi, I moved to opensocial 0.8 yesterday and since then I get am error saying "opensocial.IdSpec is undefined" - but only on the home surface.

Interestingly the same code is run for profile and canvas surfaces, and it works fine.

    My App Id is 101664

I am guessing something bad happened when I published the changes to my app.

I have a developer version of the app running the exact same code and the it runs fine for all three surfaces. So the problem has to be on the container end, right?

    Much thanks for any help.

I have a few issues that I'm checking on with container folks, and I'll add this to the list. THanks!

Hi, this app appears to be working fine on all surfaces. It might be a user specific issue. Do you have an example of a member who cannot get this to load on their profile? (friendID?)

Hi, Thanks for checking this out The friendids 176762541 and 199629812 are not able to view their home surface for sure. These are our developer profiles, I am assuming other profiles have the same problem. Thanks a million for your help.

Karma man works perfectly on both these profiles.  I think it may be a problem with their browser. What browser are you using?/

    Hi,
Karmafan does work on profile surfaces. It is on the home surface that we are getting the error that IdSpec is undefined.
We have tried it on FF, IE and Opera.

Right, the UHP. It was loading fine there too. Can you post a screen shot?

Re: In home surface - opensocial.IdSpec is undefined

I've been having this same problem randomly from time to time today on my application. I just switched to 0.8 and for a while I got the javascript error relating to the opensocial.IdSpec only in IE and not in FF, then for a while only in FF and not in IE. Currently they're both working now, just wondering if there have been some changes to the app platform that might be causing this or if I should consider moving back to 0.7 for better reliability.
