Is it possible to invite friends, send messages and update activities via REST?

    Hi Developers,

i'm wondering if it's possible to invite new Friends/send application proposals, send Messages to friends and update activit-feeds via REST. Per direct use of open social api in javascript i can realize all this tasks, but i'm not sure wether i can do it with REST, too. The documentation is not very elaborately.

Have you any expieriences or hints?

    Thank you very much!

    Best regards,

     André

As far as I know it's not possible yet. I'm also waiting for this.

Meanwhile, there is a workaround using Javascript. You can read more about this in another forum:

And there is also a demo application:

Grove is right you can not do it using REST. The reason is that this functionality requires user interaction, that is why you can use the library showcase in the link Grove send.
