When will MySpace support the 0.7 specification

hi5 and Orkut both support this specification. Other containers will definitely follow, like Ning.

When will MySpace support the 0.7 specification and implement it. Will it be before the launch of MySpace's platform and when is the platform even launching? (A rough date is okay)

     Thank you.

I need to ask about this, because you're not the only one wondering. I am not sure how soon we plan on supporting .7 - but I can't imagine that we'd stand still for too long on it. :)

I've scoured the forums a bit, since I'm here alot as it seems I have no life, but a few of the MDP Team developers have insinuated that portions of v.7 will be rolled out piecemeal. For example, it was mentioned that the Activities API will likely roll out using v.7 specs; though there weren't specifics as they're still hammering out the business model and "restrictions", to keep it from being abused by faulty or malicious code (nobody would appreciate an App that spammed their Activities with useless and annoying junk messages - not only would this be annoying, it would drop end-user confidence in instaling Apps in general).

I imagine that the full and complete transition to v.7 will not happen before the Go Live date, though. I could be wrong on that count, but I suggest for safety and sanity's sake, you don't base your short-term development plans on full v.7 compatibility.

I think you should greatly consider using shindig and using the 0.7 specification before you launch. I see little point to divide hundreds of developers between MySpace + (rest of the social networks) as the definitive role opensocial plays is portability.
