    Kicking this off

This is our meet and greet area, where developers should come on in and say hi! We're a social networking site, after all, so come and be social.

To start...hi, I'm Stephanie. I am NOT a developer, but I am handling the developer relations side of the platform here at MySpace. I hope to see a lot of the developers I've been speaking with over the last few months in here, not only to blab in this forum, but also to ask questions, make suggestions, and have truly productive conversations in the other forums.

Now, it's your turn. Who's reading this now?

    Allo folks-

I'm the product owner/lead developer for the MySpace OpenSocial container, and provide support for 3rd party developers as well.  I use the aliases Signal Loss and MySpaceSeattleMax, so anything ending in "Cheers, Max" is me =)  I'm based out of the MySpace office in lovely downtown Seattle, WA, but travel pretty frequently between LA and San Francisco depending where I'm needed.

Feel free to hit me up with any questions/feedback/concerns.

     Cheers,

    Max

Hi Stephanie and everyone! I'm Charles from PixVerse. We're building a distributed social network-based virtual world. A virtual world in the sense of a place for people to hang out and have fun in real-time online. We already have some applications running on other social networks and look forward to building some great experiences for MySpace. My background comes from FilmLoop (one of the early MySpace widget developers) and from the mobile phone industry. Our small team dabbles in several areas from JS to Flash to Python, and massive concurrency and whizzy UI in between. We're also geeks at heart, so we can get into fun discussions about things like the elegance of JSON or the annoyance of no anonymous closures in Python.

I'm a small-time web developer from Tampa, FL.   I enjoy turning my tools and apps into OS X widgets and facebook apps, so I hope to do
the same here on MS.  My day job is in web development, but i consider it all more of a hobby than a career.

    Hi Stephanie,

We are looking forward to developing apps.  Our company adpay.com provides online classified services to major media partners and I see a lot of potential with your platform.  Any idea how I can speed along my developer request?

    Thanks,
    Mike

    Hi Stephanie

I manage community engagement at MessageDance - its a sweet little site which allows folks to email their photo/videos straight to Myspace profile.

Got great plans to expand user experience with opensocial.

Can't wait to see more details

We enjoyed meeting you and all the other developers at the launch party last night in SF. This looks very exciting and we can't wait to get started!

     Hello everyone,

I'm Nate, and I'm a flash / flex developer for Snapvine.com here in beautiful Seattle, WA.  I like long walks on the beach... candlelight dinners..... wait, wrong forums.

I'm a long time MySpace junky, and I'm excited for the opportunity to work with MySpace like this.  Looking forward to talking with everyone more! Also, I appreciate the support for flash that is being built in.  Rock On!

    Nate,
