    image displaying in Flash file

I'm trying to get a users image to show up in my Flash file. I get their thumbnail view URL passed in through an ExternalInterface javascript call, but it won't display the thumbnail image in my Flash. When I take that same thumbnail URL and hard code it into my Flash file locally it works and displays the thumbnail image. When I hard code it in the Flash and try it on MySpace, it still doesn't work.

Is there something I need to initialize in order to pass images into my SWF?

    Thanks,

    Randy

AS2? AS3? I had trouble with AS3 and using Bitmap functionality and had to do a work around....

I figured it out, it was actually just a weird image viewing class that I was using. Problem solved! Thanks for your response Eddie, I appreciate the effort!

I am having similar problem... a flash file on my myspace profile does not show ANY of my images... just the text. Are they blocking this? What exactly was your fix? Thanks...

     Hey Eric,

For me it was just the way that I was implementing an image viewing Class in my Flash file, it didn't really have anything to do with Myspace (but I thought it did, at first.) If you are properly getting the image URI imported to your Flash file, there should be no reason why your Flash file wouldn't display it. Maybe try displaying the image a different way in your Flash file?

I hope you can get it figured out!
