    Getting events

    Hi.

I have been working with the myspaceID API for several days now and I'm able to access several data as uers's friends list, ...

However, I am facing a problem with the events :  when I request activites, I get all my activities except the events.

    Considered calls are (php):

    - getFriendsActivities_ATOM with activity type as "EventPosting"

    - immediate access to   "http://api.myspace.com/1.0/activities/@me/@self";

Though I created both public and privates events, I am not able to retreive them.

Same for events I accessed through http://www.myspace.com/events and set as "I'm going"

So are these events accessible from another API and I am wrong with the previous accesses ? However, according to "http://api.myspace.com/1.0/activities/@supportedObjectTypes", events are associated to

    - http:\/\/activities.myspace.com\/schema\/1.0\/ObjectTypes\/Birthday

    -  http:\/\/activities.myspace.com\/schema\/1.0\/ObjectTypes\Bandshow

but also with the events entity "http:\/\/activitystrea.ms\/schema\/1.0\/event"

All events are not currently supported in the Activities API, but I spoke to our team and it is something we are looking to upgrade soon.

    thanks,

    Joel

    Re: Getting events

    Thanks for these details.

However, I'm wrong when I say that for the moment only bandshow and birthdays events are supported ? Are others too but in a different way? for instance, I should be able to set the flag "eventPosted" to getActivities_ATO (php) but this is useless.

What I was concerned with is the fact that according to the docs, such events are supported. Are the docs deprecated?

    Re: Getting events

I will need to take a look closer, it's possible there is some erroneous information there. We're planning on adding the following events to the Activity API:

Here are the activity types: "EnteredContest","EventAttending","EventAttendingCancel","EventPosted","EventPostingCancel","EventWantsToAttend","EventWantsToAttendCancel"

    thanks,

    Joel

Okay. So I think we only have to wait Wink
Do you have any  planned date for the release of this new "version" of the Activity API?

    Best Regards,

I have not gotten an ETA yet, but I think it will be out in 1-2 weeks.

    thanks,

     Hello.

A small "up" on this thread : do you have any information about the release?
According to my tests, the API is not yet updated.

    Julien Thomas.

     Hello.

As several people would like, I think, is it possible to know when the API will be updated in order to let users rely on these streams ?

     Thks.

    Best Regards,

    Julien Thomas
