Hello, I have an offsite application where I try to access my own album, photos and that works fine. But when I try to access my friend's album, photo, I get an exception of 401 Unauthorized (oauth_problems = permission denied), even though me and my friend both had application installed in their profile. Can you anybody has any solution to this?

Sounds like a permissions issue.  Check account settings under sync-

I checked all the permission.. both the account has all the permission to access the photos, videos... Is there any special permission we need to take care of when we Get Auth Token from myspace?? I am doing 3 legged oauth at my end. Regards, Sarvesh

Can you and your friend check your PRIVACY settings? Look at the very bottom and tell me what items are checked/unchecked in the boxes.

My and my friend's Privacy Settings have following Checkbox checked: Trendsetter, Online Now, Birthday, Block User By Age And Applications checkbox is unchecked.

 It could be failing at the oauth level.  Are you using the right oauth token for the right person, is the signature correct, etc?

There is only one oauth token for me. I am using the same oauth token to access the my own album, profile etc. It only fails when I try to use my friend's activity. I even getting my friend list and user id for the friend and using this user id I am trying to retrie the album using the same GetAlbum method which I have used to fetch my own Album List,with my friend's user id.

 You get a different access token for each user who authorizes, which should be used for requests for that user. 

So is it not possible to access my friend's album from my oauth even though he has authorized my app? So lets for e.g. I have an oauth token with value as 'xxxx' and my user id is '1234' and my friend's user id is '5678', I can't access '5678's album with my 'xxxx' auth token? Technically speaking, I should be, right? Because 5678 is my friend and he has authorized my app to access the albums.. Regards, Sarvesh

Album endpoints only support @self requests. I also see the same restriction for the Mediaitems API. Unless I am mistaken, you cannot grab friends' album/pics from a REST api call.

 REST should work using the Activities API, what are you trying to GET?
