Hi Joel,

I've already figured out that you don't respond to lowly developers unless they are a higher level, so I don't really expect much.  Just thought I would let you know the wolves are still at the door.

It seems that keeping the developers happy isn't that much of a priority to MySpace.  That's too bad.

The complaints in this forum have been forwarded to proper personnel at Myspace. I don't believe it has been decided what additional changes will be made to the layout.

 To the Proper Personnel at MySpace:               The developers here are hurting we need a spot back on the first page of the games tab. If you read over the 77 comments posted in this forum you will see that your recent changes are destroying the small developers without our apps being seen we are no longer getting installs. The little bit of time we would get from being on the recently popular list jump starts our apps and then people see our apps on the profile and it grows.  There have been some great suggestions in this forum as to how to rectify the problem. We (the small developers) KEEP MYSPACE FRESH! If you only had the big developers then you would be reduced to just 20 apps or so.... Not that i don't love the big apps i myself play all of them see i am not just a developer i am a user and i know that i would get bored with just the big apps. We bring a freshness to MySpace with new games and apps and things to kill peoples time. I don't really know what to say at this point you see this is hurting us and i believe  hurting MySpace as well i went from having almost 1 million impressions a month to under 1 hundred thousand and if i lost 800 thousand impressions then so did MySpace. So please tell us what or who we have to speak with to resolve this issues as i stated before we would be happy even with just the six spots under suggested app that never moves at all and three of which are just wrong one is a tos violation, one doesn't work and the other just leads to the events tab on MySpace. Instead of seeing those same apps wouldn't it be better to see a fresh set of apps up there !

Thanks for forwarding our "complaints" for the "proper personnel at Myspace".  We feel that we have valid concerns rather than just "complaints" and we were under the impression you had forwarded our concerns a few weeks ago.

 Perhaps if your livelihood depended on this, you would realize that "complaints" should cause you concern. I am still hanging in here because I have been told it's not a lost cause yet.  I hope that's true, because it's starting to get really annoying.  We need income, not just "it hasn't been decided yet..."

 Hi Joel:

I do hope you will continue to forward our remarks to the powers that be.  I would hate for them to think we are getting any more comfortable with the situation.  It is painful for us developers and it is ongoing.  I closed out the month a full 80% less in earnings this month.

I love developing games, but the income has become such a trickle that I am quickly losing my enthusiasm.

It might be tome to check out Facebook Application Platform. And maybe Friendster, Besom & Orkut. Times are getting hard on myspace, And myspace wont fix the problem. Might be tiim to move on, at least untill myspace does what is fair for smaller developers.

mine is messed up as well it  says deleted on all the pics of my apps. plus if you notice all our pictures andscreen names are gone now it is blank with our id number??????????????????????????????? Dare i hope that there is a fix in the near future for the lack of exposure for developers.

 As you can see it has affected my account here as well. I am not sure what's wrong yet, but it has been escalated to our team and we're working on a fix.

I understand that Joel, Your trying to fix the current problem. But whats going on about getting Recently Popular list back on the main page of the app section. We really need that.

Ok Great you fixed the forum and stuff, what about us small developers? When can we expect the recently popular list back on main page of app section? I mean goodness, you added adds to the right of our apps now. What about some kind of list instead there something alone the lines of apps from the same developer spot there. So if people like the apps from that developer, they can see a list of the 10 recent apps that developer made. That would completely help out. But we do need the recently popular apps ( at least the 9 top recently popular apps on the main page) The way you had them before. Please help us small developers out, one way of the other. Goodness we are dying out here.

 

Joel, are they still deciding what to do or is it over? Please let us know something.

I am thinking this myspace app system is over. Zynga dont even build for myspace anymore. It might be time to move to facebook everyone. I mean myspace DONT CARE about there developers anymore.

 This issue is really beginning to look like a three-ring circus. While it is great that you are communicating with the "proper personnel", money and time are being lost. Whether the "proper personnel" realize it or not, the monies made here help real people. Not some big shots pocket. It's August and time to purchase back to school supplies, more daycare expenses and, oh yeah, did I mention my full time job is on the fence? 

This helps to supplement my income and prepare for what may be a third lay-off. These are not frivolous complaints. But, complaints from real folks with real issues. Much like some of the staff at MySpace. While this is not my primary source of income, it is for many of the developers providing MySpace with gaming apps. 

 I sincerely hope the "monkeying around" comes to an end soon. I'd rather be making apps than clipping coupons!!

You know what they say, when i Company stops caring about the important people, they users/developers, it the day the Company goes out of business and shuts down. I mean because once a Company/Website starts getting a bad name, it all down hill from there.
