    For a desktop application (using REST I guess) is there a way to retrieve details about new messages, friends requests, comments, etc, a user has?     We hope to expose "api hooks" for a host of actions in the future. For the time being, We are focused on implementing people related actions, activities of those people, and application data store mechanisms. All of which are outlined in the OpenSocial spec.
