One of the oft-maligned features of myspace is that you have to have a unique, valid email address for each application.  This is actually a good idea in that it may help slow down the proliferation of crap-apps that have flooded Facebook (where any developer account can have unlimited applications)

You can put an iframe on the Canvas surface.  The area your app has on the myspace profile is equivalent to the 'application profile box' in facebook.  

I'm not normally nasty, but I am getting really really really tired of script kiddies saying "well facebook does..."

When your server receives an http request that contains an oauth digital signature you need to generate your own digital signature (using the parameters passed in the http request plus your secret key) and then compare the passed digital signature with the signature you just generated. If they match you have a valid request, if not... Good oauth ...

There must be something different in the setup between your two servers.  You could try using a utility to view the HTTP requests you are sending (ie. ieHTTPheaders for IE, LiveHTTPheaders for FF)

If your app is largely server-based you could run it in an iframe off the canvas surface (lots of posts regarding iframe in the forum).
