Currently the only way I know of getting a user to the app profile page (where they can install from) is by creating a link (or a form) with target="_top". It would be very helpful if after a user installs your app and is redirected to your app's canvas page, a parameter was passed along indicating that the user has just installed. This would make it much easier to show "Just installed" content to users without using error-prone heuristics as is currently the case. It doesn't ...

For what it's worth, I think this restriction is completely arbitrary and useless. IPs are just as valid as any hostname (and less vulnerable to spoofing or hijacking).

It would be better if the MDP team had a real issue tracker that developers could report and track issues on. Currently it's cumbersome and difficult to chase down various forum threads on overlapping and related issues, as well as their resolutions.
