  • External Script

I read about the new Usage Guidelines. For displaying information based on the profile owners content in my application, I need to reference a remote script that is in my apps domain. This renders the information (training and route information) into the profile- and hompage box. Is this now prohibited by the MySpace Usage Guideline??? How do ...

  • hosted app invite page

Hi there. Have you ever thought about creating a MySpace hosted app invite page like Facebook does? It would relieve you from your security concerns because you could track the inviting user and the initiating app yourself. This would be extemly helpful for all developers using the REST API. The page itself would essentially just need to be a ...

  • Re: It takes days to make a simple URL change

Hi Johnny, thanks for trying to help me out. In fact I had some support from MySpace Germany and it seems like the changes where pushed live today. I am still not sure what is causing the delays. Haven´t got an error message or anything - well glad to have it working! Thanks for you support DEV Team! Elmar

  • Re: Waiting Approval for Changes for 2 days

Same here. Just made an URL-change (within the same domain!) and changes won´t get published. Seems to be a general issue. http://developer.myspace.com/Community/forums/p/3540/15333.aspx#15333 Elmar

  • It takes days to make a simple URL change

I submited a small URL-change and it is still pending. Please check and push it live. Otherwise you force developer to do redirects which is not what´s intended with this approval process, I guess.  Thanks, Elmar

  • Re: MySpace, RESTful API, Tom´s Blog post

Well, I know that it is only supported through client-scripting. Like I said, as long as you stick with that you won´t get a decent amount of serious apps but merely "widgets". The Javascript container isn´t sufficient for most serious apps so you really should be thinking this over. Either you want profile Bling, rate-me-rate-you, find ...

  • MySpace, RESTful API, Tom´s Blog post

This is been asked at least a zillion times in the last weeks/months but I really need to know if MySpace is going to complete the RESTful api anytime soon. I´ve read Tom´s blog about wishing for more sophisticated apps that really enhance the platform and this post actually frustrated me quite a bit. As long as MySpace is not ...

  • Re: Featured Apps

There must be some unclever geotargeting or account-dependency at work here. I tested it with Safari 3, Firefox 2 and IE7 and none of them displays anything in terms of featured apps. Mind that I am still using the international MySpace version and haven´t converted to a localized german account. I know that the german version hasn´t got featured ...
