Urgent: 

The app canvas doesn't get OWNER on new install/view, etc.

We get owner = null.

The bug is intermittent but happens just a lot. Users are complaining.

No changes on my side.

Can you give a code snipet of how you're getting owner?  This only happens on new install/view?  Does it happen on second visit?  What's the work flow for the user?  What's the user seeing when you get null?

I didn't change that.

 

It started to happen intermittently starting from last week or so.

Only happens on new install.

req.add(req.newFetchPersonRequest(opensocial.IdSpec.PersonId.OWNER), "owner");

var owner = dataResponse.get('owner').getData(); // null here on new install (INTERMITTENT)

 

when user get null for owner it is like the app is not installed

it happens also on 0.7

the app is not actually installed.

I click on "add" button and on another "add" in the "add app dialog"

I get to the canvas with "newinstall" in the query string, but the app is not actually installed, when I go back to the about page I can add it again - I see once again the "add this app" button.

 

The bug is intermittent but happens too often ~30% of cases for me in Firefox.

I see other devs report the same

I'm gone for 24 hours and get four responses...I wish I got this much attention at home!  lol

Johnny, this is a terrible terrible problem. We spent countless hours on this issue that was reported by hundreds of our users. Now it even happened to my own profile: I can't "add" my own app! :)

Please raise the priority on this one.

Oh noes: now I can't even manage my apps: the page http://profileedit.myspace.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=accountSettings.applicationSettings redirects to http://profileedit.myspace.com/error.aspx?ETH=ecf647dcdcf705206aae13af28c3b113&EOH=4d00f4ed3c2958f0002156254cc8e9a9 that says "Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred."
