1/    User Experience / Functionality [loading issues] Application contains no actual functionality.

We want to do a external application that uses the RESTful API, in order to get friend's status on the mobile phone.
As it is an external application, that does not show on the profile, how can we demonstrate the functionality on the canvas page?

 We've also experienced problems with the approval of an external app (a thread on this in the DA forum - http://developer.myspace.com/Community/forums/t/3870.aspx).

I can't find your app.  Did you delete it?

I think you probably marked your External App as installable by accident.

For DA issues, I would follow the thread you started in in the DA Forum.  8BitKid is better abled to assist you with DA stuff.

Yes we deleted the application and created a new one.

The "Installable" checkbox is not checked, but then we get an error when clicking on the "Publish" button.

Indeed we can not edit the canvas page, as the "Edit source" has no link on it when "Installable" is off.

 we've fixed that bug, but it will take a bit for it to makes its way to production.  if you post your app ID i can review it and try to accelerate the fix process for your app.
