    What? Released 07.17.08

"All applications listed in the user homepage applications module (on the left of the page) now link directly to the application canvas page."

    This has always happened...!...?

    But wait....

now all the titles on the profiles also link to the canvas page.

Don't know when this happened but this since day one this is how I've told people to get to my apps install page.

    This is crazy.

I don't want an [ugly] button on my app to tell the viewer 'get app here'.

If they want it then the use the title - no hassles - this is how I believe probably how my apps spread as well as they did [90,000 in total now].

Now it will go to the canvas and look crap.

As said many time as a flash app I cannot tell whether a user is installed or myspace is blipping to try and bounce accross

If myspace could give a good valid explanation of why this change was necessary I would be grateful but personally I think this is rubbish [again]

I don't understand what you're talking about - the user homepage buttons were linking to the profile in a *small percentage* of instances. They've been changed to link to the canvas, which was always the intended behavior.

We have NOT made a change to anything on the profile.

If you click on the app title from a profile it is now taking you to the app canvas not the app profile as it used to...

    Try it

It's been going to the canvas for a while.

Missed that release note...when did it happen....?

    And that's a good thing?

Please explain why this has happened because it makes no sense for those of us who needed the title as there way of spreading with out spoiling the app with 'get app here' links.

I believe that it's better for SEO this way (although I'm not an SEO genius), and of course, everyone wants their apps to pop in search engines.

We also had a large number of developers ask for the change. I'm sorry it's not perfect for you, but I'm sure you can make it work.
