CRITICAL 50% of REST calls FAIL

I am testing the REST api and 50% of API calls are returning 404 errors.

Do you have any tools that monitor the status of your platform?

I am seeing the same thing.  Its the same as the 404 issues in another thread.

Re: CRITICAL 50% of REST calls FAIL

PUT user appdata REST calls return 501 errors more than 60% of the time(!).

"The remote server returned an error: (501) Not Implemented."

Your servers seem completely out of sync.  The other 40% of the time they work fine, with fast responses and OK status codes.

(Russ, apologies for starting a new thread.. It was late when I was running my tests last night.)

No problem.  This has been going on now for 6 days.  The more threads on it maybe the better to get someones attention.  I can't do any promotion (ie: like buying myspace advertising) because there are too many errors and I just keep losing users and gaining no ground.  I can't use the viral features because I use the restful api and there is no capability nor any response to repeated requests from multiple people on that issue.

Its not beta anymore so we shouldn't still be experiencing these things should we?

Re: CRITICAL 50% of REST calls FAIL

They're failing a lot this morning.  I'm getting things like six REST calls in a row failing, which is making users think the app is broken.

We've had folks running health checks for days and have not seen this. I'll have them check again, and I did send a request yesterday to run another health check after I saw Dave's message.

You're not being ignored. I have no info for you at this time and can f/u in the AM.

Re: CRITICAL 50% of REST calls FAIL

Thanks Rhonda. Just to let you know, I haven't had a single problem today. I haven't had any messages about things hanging while loading (which is caused by REST calls failing or hanging), so that's great!!  I'm much happier  =)

I am still getting lots of 404 errors.  I haven't really been tracking it so I don't know if its any better or not but I have heard that more hardware is being put behind things and an issue was identified and being addressed so something is happening on this apparently.

This is still a problem eh.  Now we are in to multiple weeks without a solution.

The # of people that have gone to try and install my app and use it and have failed is crazy because of this error.

I don't know what you're seeing rus, but I've had this checked and checked by folks on our end for DAYS now.  We are NOT seeing what you are reporting.

Additionally, if 50% of the calls were failing, then I think we'd see more people here in this thread.
