Zip it! [:#] Where to start with a FLASH app?

My app will be in flash but I'm not sure where to start. Do I just build the app in FLASH with server backend and stuff and than build it into the MDP or is it something else?

This is my first time building an app for any social networking site so I'm a little new to it.

Start small, I'd say read the references but bear in mind they may be well out of date. This Flash forum is relatively new so do a search for Flash, Actionscript etc in the main forum's search box at the top and you'll see how we've struggled but got some way there. This may take some time. Work out if you are going AS2 or AS3, going to use Restful calls or the AS3 library. Work out what info you'd like from myspace and whether it is available to you. It's still trial and error for the most part.

    Good luck

So basically I would just build the widget in FLASH and than integrate AS2 or 3?

With out know what you are planning to do it's hard to answer. I'd assumed your app was going to get info from myspace like the user's name, info, friends or photos etc. If it was to say be showing a weekly cartoon or formatting an rss feed and has no interaction with myspace info then life is a lot easier (may be).

Here is basically how the app works. It displays a daily RSS or such that can be modified to whatever the user of the app wants. Basiclaly the only info it would collect is the URL of a person who submitted content.

So far instance a person only wanted to show RSS feeds about computers, they could edit it just for that. Or they could leave the settings to accept the regular data that is generated by the feed. Hope that explains the process.
