how do you get action or at least a competent response to the problem. i'm having multiple apps of mine getting copied with even the exact name and trying to report the app brought the brilliance of the myspace tech team to recommend me to the http://developer.myspace.com/Community/ as the way to actually getting the problem solved.

I was wondering i have curently opened my app forum link to my app temp profile for ideas and suggestions.. I have a few cats who wnna get cocky and be the classic bad apple with the langus=age directed at people and harrassing of other forum members...Do we have any control on deleting posts made containing vulgarities or what about banning thses individuls ingeneral...Is there a toll or menu option on the app forum im missing, lease i want a clean frum can someone help ty and have a great day,,Brian

Changing Domain of App

My company is rebranding so my question is If I change the domain to our app from say opensocial.mydomain.com to opensocial.mynewdomain.com do I have to submit it as a new app or can I just make the changes in the admin and publish them?

Authorization URL: MySpace unable to process request

Hi, I am developing an application to import contact list of a user from MySpace. I have got the consumer key and consumer secret for a particular user. As part of Oauth authentication process, I have been able to get the request token from MySpace. Also, I have got the authorization URL (that is the URL where I enter the login and password details of a user whose contacts need to be imported from MySpace). However, on entering the correct details (login and password) of user at the authorization URL, MySpace is unable to process my request. The authorization URL is: "http://api.myspace.com/authorize?oauth_token=AJKfs5PhbPLW0MGVNd4Vz7YcUygEIZ6D47EcsfJ8KmKwYTRK+U58fq/RGtEp378D+H2lXCGVZXeZcLssa6Kj5tcrtnujVrg2lo1E+azTPRUvRHPCUFP" The error displayed is : "Oops! We're sorry, but we are unable to process your request. Please try again, and if you continue to see this message please contact us here." I have tried multiple times but with negative results. It was bad enough that Rhonda was overloaded trying to handle all the requests by developers. Now that you have let her go, developers have no way to contact MySpace? Why is there no support ticket system? Why is there no contact email? Basically News Corp, you shot yourself in the foot by removing the liaison between you and the programmers out there who make applications for your platform.

So I am writing an app that allows users to design their own t-shirts online, and place them on their profile to show off to their friends and family. Visitors can view the "Full Store" by going to the Canvas app, at which point they can purchase the custom designed t-shirts that the store owner has designed. PROBLEM: I am reading the Common Pitfalls for App Developers page, and it says:

Applications cannot award prizes or provide the ability to cash out, return or convert money into anything of value (e.g., gift certificates, discount coupons, etc.).

If your application contains user-generated content (such as image or file uploads, forum or message boards, etc.), or if it involves any type of monetary transaction, it must have a clear, and easily discoverable area for users to report abuse.

Ummmm... Did I just waste the last year, writing an app that is not allowed on MySpace? Again, the user who designs the shirt is able to add a markup amount to it, at which point it is displayed in their store with the total retail amount (manufacturing cost + user markup). Whenever items are sold, the user needs to be able to make money from the sale of their items. If I am reading the Pitfalls, correctly, it is saying I cannot pay out the users of the app, for the items they sell? This would completely destroy the whole concept of my app, which is allowing users to start their own custom t-shirt businesses.

Are users allowed to make money with our apps? I was pretty sure I saw several other t-shirt design / sell apps, back when we were just getting started. How do they deal with the payout issue? What if the store owners logged into an external website to cash out? I'm confused! Please help, as we are days away from submitting this app for approval, and we need to make sure we didn't overlook anything. Thanks!

Testing an application:

1. Add a user account to the applications test users column.

2. Use the link that Developer.Myspace say's use. (For tester’s, please provide them these links to the profile surface. (Developer's can use the links too!))

3. If the application is working correctly, the test user account will be able to see the application.

4. The test user account clicks on the View App link. Which would be this link: http://profile.myspace.com/Modules/Applications/Pages/Canvas.aspx?appId=150297 (Now notice this link does NOT carry forward the &appvers=dev paramiter) So I click on it as is and I get this message : (License Plate Generator is currently private.) So now, I add this paramiter (&appvers=dev) to the above link, the app cavas page loads, I thought maybe the approvers were right, that maybe the app wasn't working correctly! But, of course the link WITHOUT the &appvers=dev is not going to work, the app hasn't been approved yet.

See'ing as how I have had this application disapproved 4 or 5 times, somehow, these approvers/disapprovers have managed to create a License Plate and I know this cause there plate is created using they're myspace ID's.

Now, if this is NOT how you test an application... I NEED a Moderator to explain, step by step how it's done, because I have followed the developer.myspace.com's guides on how to test apps. I have also had an independant user test it as well, and it worked just fine.

SOOOO - I'd like an explanation PLEASE.

Just checked my app a few mins ago and it is showing a red message, "App down for Maintenance," in the developer pay it says app is suspended. Is there any way I can find out the reason for this? Any help is appreciated, thanks.

i've just tried to publish my first app but iit has a problem when i clicked the add app button it does not take me to the app it just takes me to my profile how do i fix this.

Question about publishing approval process for Myspace ID apps

I'm getting ready to start a closed beta soon for an application that includes use of Myspace ID. The site will be closed to the general public, and I will require beta testers to have a token to instantiate their account. I currently use Myspace as an option for authentication, and also read the user's stream. Eventually I'll have status updates posted from my site to Myspace. Can I publish the app now? Or during the beta test do I have to require testers friend my account on myspace so I can add them as developers/testers, and can only publish when the sites ready to go live? I'm hoping I can publish now, rather than also have to do more testing as I go live, to confirm that users can indeed log in without being flagged as testers.

I ‘Am inquiring about TOS. If I could talk to a member of the MySpace faculty, that would be great.
After what I would say was an hour and a half of actually reading Myspace’s Terms And Services, I ran across violations and terms of agreement.
It’s stated that it’s strictly forbidden to 7.7.1. Enable any other person to personally identify any User except with such User's express consent.

I don’t want to break TOS, and risk my expulsion from the developer services.
My plan was to create an application that gathered a viewers ID post it to my server, save it in a MySQL database, that would be set to a 24 hour cron job, so that data would not be stored for more then a day. As declared in another part of the TOS. From there I would show users who have installed my app, what other users have viewed there profile.
But with out the users consent I obviously can’t do this and stay in line with TOS.
Is there any possible way around this?
