I created MySpaceID app. In MySpaceID_Demo I have correct ConsumerKey and ConsumerSecret. And with my login and password app work well, but when I try login with other account, I have error: "Ooops! We're sorry but we are unable to process you request.". How to do so what would the application work with any account? Thanks.

Special characters in activity template

Hi!

I am not able to display special characters like ( ' ,") etc in User's activity stream. I can see them very clearly in template preview window. But when i post them on Users activity steam i get corresponding html number.

Eg When i want to post Neverget's score is 100. I get Neverget&#39s score is 100.

setting photo permissions

My apps are Flash so don't know about other types but

Using Firefox I added the app from the canvas - at some point I check permissions for private photos but the box that comes up is the add app box is not the photo permissions one...it's the add app one.... if I refresh then the photo permissions box comes up OK.

Also when using IE the call back to Flash doesn't work (gets a runtime error) I've put a work around in but not the best for an IE user - callback works fine in other browsers.

App is http://apps.myspace.com/adventcalendar - click the colored ball top right to customise then 'background' drop down menu to 'get myspace photo' then providing private photos not set - 'yes' to set

I have been trying to get my app approved many many times,the one reason it is not approved is the home/profile frames of the game showing the app is private. I feel that I have no way of controlling this as my developer page show unique content and i feel that once the game is public that this will work for everyone.

also i have been getting what i believe to be ludicrous feedback from the approval process always different, Example - on the last denial i was told that the back button doesn't work- there are many games on myspace where there is just a canvas you control by its self meaning. , 2- says that you have to update firefox for a better myspace experience- (not our problem) but it comes up as a reason for denial.

I am beginning to feel like there is no consistency or rhyme or reason to this approval process i am getting weary and my partners are about ready to drop a great and powerful project.

we have considered starting from scratch. i need legitimate help - this forum has been very weak its like a car forum where you post "my car overheats" and you get the response "sounds like your car over heats"... the response i need is one that resolves my problems---

Doesn't seem to be working -

When trying to update an app the home surface seems to be pointing to live....

Rather annoying as though I had made code errors and cannot test my changes.

myspaceid php sdk does not work with php 5.3

Trying to get thhe myspaceid php sdk working (revision r61). When I run the sample "samples/myspaceid-openid-oauth" I

get a ton of errors such as...

"Deprecated: Assigning the return value of new by reference is deprecated "

The problem seems to be that the Yadis OpenID does not work with php 5.3, see this ticket

- I went through the code and removed all return by reference

- also patched BigMath.php -> Auth_OpenID_detectMathLibrary by returning false essentially.

- Also explicitly declared various functions as static if they were being referenced as static

I fixed many different issues till I could at least get the OpenID confirmation page to come up. I can successfully link the account to the app now but the next error i'm stuck on is Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in C:\temp\myspace\source\Auth\OpenID\Consumer.php on line 434 and after messing around for a few hours I've concluded I'm well over my head. The OpenID library seems unable to reconcile the 'http://specs.openid.net/extensions/oauth/1.0' namespace.

Can't login to profile for created apps

Hello. I've created a bunch of apps, most of which I have no issues with. But for some of them, I cannot login to the corresponding profile page for the app using the email and password. When I try password recovery, it says that the email address does not exist. However, I am able to visit the application profile page, so I know clearly that it does exist. Any suggestions for this bug?

But if i visit:

It authenticates me sucessfully but doens't give me a verfier token. If I then try to verify it without a oauth_verifier param, I get:

oauth_problem=parameter_rejected,oauth_problem_advice=oauth_verifier is invalid or doesn't match

Yahoo, Twitter, and Google all handle oob, plesae support it for non web-based apps.

Requesting REST resource users/userId/friends? returns 401 after app has been added

Our apps that are receiving a 401 error when we make the following GET request:

The error returned is:

{\"statusCode\""401\",\"statusDescription\""User has not installed the current application or application does not have access to requested resource\"}

The happens randomly. Sometimes it returns the requested information, and sometimes it returns the above error. Even though the user has already added the app.

It happens more often on accounts with lots of friends (e.g. >1000) then those with smaller numbers of friends.

We've also found the changing the requested number of results per page from 100 to 25 reduces the frequency of the error, but does not eliminated it.

Any ideas?

requestShareApp callback BROKEN in IE and Firefox!

The EXAMPLE code on that page does not work in either IE or Firefox, but does work in Chrome. Can someone please direct me either to a page where changes have been documented OR tell me what is going on?

I been trying to fix this app for a while i even tried to delte it and i was going to do over but I talk to the company where i made this site from and told them the problem i been having and they told me the link is fine.

I do not know what is the deal i would like it to be live like it was but when you go to it it brings up forbidden and also do i need to keep having to have a different email for each app or can i have it all under one because am really lost on that part and do not want to get in any trouble with myspace at all :)

Installed users showing up as not having the app installed

Hello,

When we do an OpenSocial Request for a user's friends, many users show up with hasAppInstalled=false when they do in fact have the application installed.

A specific example:
Our application id is 110096. Getting the first page of users (http://api.msappspace.com/api-v2.svc/json/people/@me/@friends?startIndex=1&count=50&filterBy=all) reports that user 9525754 doesn't have the application installed ("hasAppInstalled":false). But they actually do have the app installed (it even appears on their profile). We also have access to their data through the REST API. Its just this @friends request that is returning buggy data.

We'll be happy to provide more examples to help with this issue.

We get owner = null.

The bug is intermittent but happens just a lot. Users are complaining.

No changes on my side.

REST API from PHP SDK exmample is not working

Hello!

i'm trying to develop an application using MyspaceID-PHP-SDK.

Some functions are working correctly, for example export of profile details or status update. But this REST API call is not working:

$album = $ms->getAlbum($userid, $albumid);

I'm running file:samples/myspaceid-oauth/index.php.

Now it gives an exception:

Fatal error: Uncaught exception 'MySpaceException' with message 'Request to http://api.myspace.com/v1/users/500506942/albums/286575/photos.json failed: HTTP error 400 Response: HTTP/1.1 400 imageUrl parameter is missing or empty....

Please help me, because i can't find any info about this in your Wiki.

Urgent - friends rest api broken....

I use

api.msappspace.com/opensocial/v1/OWNER/friends

in two of my apps which are now broken.

The xml returned includes a a friends count -

This used to be the total number of friends the user had

but now appears to be the number returned in the xml.

My two apps rely on knowing the total number of friends

- I already have over 100 messages saying the apps are broken... and there are 50,000+ current installs between the apps....

Issues with appdata

I see intermittent issues during the the whole summer in 0.8 saving appdata (several values in one request). It was apparently fixed during August but then apparently broken in September. Please note - no changes in my code during this period.

The bug is intermittent. Very annoying, why does it work without any problem on all other OS containers. Why there are so many bugs on myspace platform? Maybe you guys should outsource the OS part to some company which has better undertsnading of the OS. No offence but this is the feeling I get developing on myspace container for more than a year and comparing it to other OS implementations (orkut, hi5, friendster) where it is just working fine.

Only param2 is saved (the last one) and param1 is not. If I switch last 2 lines in the code - only param1 is saved (and i have an old value for param2 fetching it). Why is that? Again - it's intermittent, so obviously there is some bug there.

Can't create an app

I'm having issues creating new apps using the "Build" link. I enter the information and the captcha field, but the screen just refreshes with no error message. I have a unique email address for the new app, but it won't continue past the first screen. I've tried Firefox and IE and neither works. Please let me know if you have any thoughts on this.

iframes do not upload correctly

When I upload an iframe for any of the surfaces and try to view it the app shows up as blank. The debugger on my browser says the swf file is not found (the very long named random filename I believe myspace renames it to). The flash file is an empty one to avoid any problems on my end. What am I doing wrong?

Internal Server Error when trying to access deleted friend

I had mentioned in another post that I was getting seemingly random internal server errors. I have gotten to the bottom of the problem, and I now have this:

This request throws a server error. Other people work just fine. I could, in theory, catch the exception and ignore it, but then if I got a real 500 Internal Server Error, then my app would simply ignore all users, and that is not acceptable.

Upon more investigation, I realized that the user in question (ID #98661299) is dead (deleted or shut down). They're still in the user's friend list, but upon accessing them my app gets the error.

There must be a more elegant way to handle this. What should I do? Thanks in advance for your help!

Hey guys I changed my DNS server for one of my Apps as my old host complained it was too busy for that server. DNS is recognized everywhere on the internet. But Myspace is still pushing everything on the canvas surface to my old host. Home and Profile surface seems to be pulling images from my new host. How can we fix this?
