Are there any plans to allow applications to edit fields such as the:

About Me, Interests, Hero's, Music ect... through applications? I know we can do a PostTo to these sections, but that does not allow the editing/deleting what is there and/or updating the text in them. Is this going to be considered at any time?

You know, I went to check out some of our sample apps, and with this I was able to modify my own profile fields but no example of how to do it to another member's profile. I'll check in.

Thanks for the reply, but yes, I've looked into that as well. Using that example I can update / append to a users profile, but not pull in what is in a field and edit / change it.... i.e. About Me, Interests, Books ect....

 Also, could tell me if updating the users Status and Mood is available. I've searched and searched and cannot for the life of me find anything other than for RESTful coding.

Please let me know what you find out.

 There is no plans to add this functionality on OpenSocial 0.8 we will alow some fields to be editable in 0.9
