Lately (since last week or so), there have been issues with publishing changes. The changes are not readily deployed into production.. then we end uoo republishing 3-4 times over the period of 3-4 hours before we see the changes reflected in the live app. So I am not sure if it now takes 2-4 hours for changes to reflect in live app or there is issue with publishing changes and one needs to keep trying until you see changes in live app..

it used to be very smooth, publish and the changes would be live in 15 min. Would love to get back that kind of process..

even hide/live took 30+ minutes to reflect changes. took us by surprise.

 You're saying after you clicked the hide button it was still reflecting in the gallery for 30 minutes or more? 

If you're around today I can run some tests with you. 

In any case, I'll look at this with QA. I looked at the publish log and everything (appears) normal.
