4. The "My Apps" page claims that the app is live, but when I try to visit the canvas, I'm greeted with red text that says "This application is currently pending review.". Is the app not really live? If so, how come "My Apps" says it is? If not, how come the canvas page doesn't render my app?

Unfortunately, it's even worse now. Now when I try to go to the app's canvas, it says "Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred.".

I'm not getting that error at all.

Try deleting your browser's cache and check again.

 

 

Ah, did you try going to the app canvas while not being logged into MySpace? That's the case in which I see the problem arise, cleared cache or not.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I understand, the canvas should render just fine to a non-logged in user.

Apps can work if the user is not logged in. I have verified this on several different apps. You cannot, however, get viewer data since no viewer exists. That might be why your app is breaking. I suggest looking at how your applications initializes and code accordingly.

Indeed, nor would I expect it to be able to. The app is an iframe app, and I'm receiving no errors on my end. But that wouldn't even be a prudent debugging step—on the page that says "Sorry! an unexpected error has occurred", there's no iframe src-ing to my app. That leads me to think that the problem's on MySpace's end, and not on mine.

What would cause a problem for me is if the iframe didn't pass along an installState GET parameter when the user wasn't logged in. I'm not absolutely positive, but I'm pretty sure that it's done that successfully in the past.

We are looking into the cause of the issue. We may have found something, so sit tight while we work it out.
