Simple, straight forward. Just remember, when advertising, Myspace policy says ads can only be on the canvas page.

Do you know if Google adds work with MySpace?  I've got tons of add credit that I'd like to start using Big Smile.

Yea I've heard of those working before, a guy was a having a problem with his app being denied because the Google Ads wouldnt open in a new window, but he pointed out that policy said if it was out of the developers control it could open in the same window, so he was approved.

    Cloudgazer:

The Cubics platform works with MySpace (as well as the other major social networks). We have a ton of advertisers specifically looking for advertising space on these social networks.

We've been around Social Networks since just after the Facebook Platform launch. So we have as much experience in monetizing social ads as anybody.  Different networks seem to perform for different publishers, so no one can make guarantees. But you should definitely be trying Cubics as we're being run across many of the top Facebook apps (and that should tell you something).

Cloudgazer, you might want to check out Offerpal Media, especially if your app has some kind of points or virtual currency system. We specialize in monetizing apps on MySpace and other social networks by letting their users earn points in exchange for participating in free trials, discounts, online surveys and other CPA offers.  The points can then be redeemed however you see fit. You can still use Offerpal if you don't yet have a point system built into your app, but this is proving to be one of the best ways -- if not THE best way -- to make money in this environment.

Hey Matt.  I've seen the service you mentioned in other apps and was impressed.  I'm also excited about how easy it seems to be to use the service.  My issue is that it seems to be geared towards Facebook.  When I clicked the link  "Sign up now" it brings me to a facebook login page.  Will you be offering this service to application developers who are just developing on MySpace?  I have enough social networking accounts and am not really interested in creating another one to use a service for this one.  TIA

Hey $cott. Yes, we do offer the service for developers on MySpace. For now you can still sign up through the Facebook onboarding app -- there will be a drop down that asks what social network you're on (we also accomodate Bebo, hi5 and other developers), so just be sure to select MySpace. But in a couple of weeks we'll be launching an onboarding app on the MySpace platform to make everything more clear. In the meantime we apologize for the confusion. Hope that helps. Cheers...

Thanks Matt and I guess I can suck it up and create a Facebook account.  I really like the business model and am excited about the opportunites so it's well worth it.  Thanks again!

$cott and others -- since you'd asked earlier, wanted to let you know that today Offerpal Media launched our native MySpace Onboarding Application to help developers monetize your apps with our “Managed Offer Platform.”

Our ad-supported payment platform lets your users earn points or any kind of virtual currency for taking part in special offers like free trials, big brand discounts, online surveys and more. The points they earn can then be redeemed by doing more things within your app, which helps improve loyalty and deepen user engagement.  And, we manage it all for you—from customer support and offer rotation to user interface design and A/B split testing. Just give us an I-frame and within minutes you can start making from $50 to $200 per day for every 1,000 DAUs.

Read more about it in our press release and on our blog:

Join top MySpace apps like Own Your Friends!, Mobsters, Super Pets, Heroes, Speed Racing and others who monetize through Offerpal. Sign up today: www.myspace.com/offerpal
