I am using the postTo for profile. When the popup comes up for a user, "about me" is always pre-selected. Is there any way I can change it to some other option like "Music" or "Movies"?

Pass l (lowercase L) in your url. It's an integer from 1-9 or 10 (or whatever the max number of options is, I forget).
