whenever I create an application it requires me to put in a new email address.  but  I am creating an application using the account I am logged in.  Should it not be associated with my account?

Each application is considered a new profile with its own friend ID.  So you need a new email.

I am going to do extensive reading on the apps tomorrow but in case I don't find the answer and forget the question (you know how it is...)

 For test applications to learn the apps better (like the Hello World application) is there an easy process to then delete that test application? Or, would you just leave it in limbo?

While logged in as the owner of the app (not the apps email address) at developer.myspace.com click on myapps, there's a delete option for your apps.

Not sure if the account that what setup with the app is automatically deleted, but if it isn't I would login using the apps email and select 'cancel account' from the 'my account' screen. Hope that helps.

 Don't forget, all of myspace could end up spamming you
