if you take the app listing as a whole from day 1 to now ... things have been actually very fair.
but as developers we get kind of excited sometimes ... heres a great example with one of my apps and a brand new app.
under Movies and TV my app "I Love Family Guy" was on the recently popular 1st or 2nd page for a couple weeks, about 10 days on page 1, and 10 days on page 2 ... during that time the app added like 6000 users ...
so now the app is on page 10 or something, pretty much useless ... BUT the #1 result right now in the category is a brand new app with less than 100 installs (by the way I like the less than 100, nice add by the MDP team) ... anyway, theres no way I can be angry with them giving a brand new app top spot ... because every single person here deserves that same shot at success.
if you take a 60 day snap shot its 100% fair, 7 day snap shot doesnt give an accurate view.
why does it matter, because I bet you'll see Zorap on the recent popular list sooner than you think ... because their just fair like that ... and when you are there, you will be happy how everything works ... and you will enjoy everyday of your run.
