Currently, if you set the app age to adults only (18+ etc) it will only prohibit under age users from installing your app.

 In the near future, it sounds like we are also going to suppress that app from the app gallery for under age users and check the user's age when the app surface is actually rendered.

I get this message from MySpace: "Your app requires changes: No age verification for 18+"

And I have set: "App Age Setting" to: "Ages 18+ only".

Should I still fix something in my app or is this a error by the validation staff? 

Where exactly are you seeing that message? Is that feedback from app. approval?

I wonder if they are actually asking you to turn off the age specification rather than set it. Let me shoot this thread over to Stephanie when I get into the office and we'll see if she can figure out what they want.

I have the same problem.  I have submitted my app with logic that actually checks the users age (MyOpenSpace.Person.Field.AGE) upon viewing the canvas page and kicks them to their profile if they aren't 18+.

This has been rejected 5 times.  I believe this is happening because the person who is reviewing it is not logged in to a user with age < 18.  

 Please take a closer look at my changes before casting the ole' , "Again submitted without review... [ rejected ]"

You need to ask users if they are over the age of 18. 

We will ultimately require everyone to use that 18+ setting, and not code in the age check themselves, but at the moment, we do need you to do it manually.

That option currently serves the purpose of categorizing your app correctly and it also prohibits users under the specified age from installing your app. So it does serve a purpose and will play a larger role later in future releases of the platform.
