Hi, I'm new here, just put in for my first app for approval. After reading and searching this forum to find answers I figured I'd just post and ask.

 I have seen everyone talking about putting their advertisements only on the canvas page. Yet, after reading the terms and FAQ I am understanding that we can put ads on  the developer profile page/application profile page as well. Can someone please confirm that this is in fact the case. I built a flash app so I cannot put an advertisement on the canvas page. I am hoping to add an advertisement to my developer/application profile page.

I did try the google ad code to test it before putting in for approval , but it doesn't seem to be allowing the google adsense code. Is the javascript not allowed?

Any insight you can offer is appreciated.

I believe it's the app porfile page (not developer) but TOS questions are usually handled by someone who understands all that leagal mamby-jo-hamby.

I'll have to get back to you to be sure.

Thankyou for your reply. Yes, I  think you're right. Just looked over the TOS again and it says the app profile page and canvas page. This is great if so, as most of my apps are flash apps and can't use the canvas page.

Would still like confirmation on it though, to make sure whenever you get a chance.

How can you show an Ad in the Application profile page if that page doesn't allow you to put the "script" tags? 

I am assuming that we are still creating application profile pages in the "About" section of the application. Am I missing something?

That is exactly my question. The TOS specifically say you can put ads on your app profile page , yet it won't accept script tags. I am developing flash apps so it is my only available place to place ads.

Can someone please clarify as to how we can add ads to the application profile page?

There's one risk in putting ads in the app profile page -- When a user comes to your app profile page, you want him/her to "Add the app". By distracting the user to the ads, you may miss on the "Add" and may get fewer installs than usual. So, I am still evaluating if I want ads on the app profile page at all. 

That is a good point mNeo, although if you can get ads that pay you for cpm you can earn from imps and not just clicks.If you have an active app, users may come to use the forum and leave comments , not just to install the app. I've seen some app profile pages quite busy within the forums.

Agreed. I really need an answer to this question from MySpace. It's in the TOS so there has to be a way to put ads on the app profile page

Advertising is only allowed on the application Canvas Surface.

I have forwarded the TOS to our lawyers to udpate.
