Any insights, suggestions, anything cause I'm stuck - appreciated. This app happens to be AS3.

This problem seems to happen for left sided flash apps using Internet Explorer on some profiles only.

I had a query from a user saying the app (www.myspace.com/randomphotoviewer) wasn't showing anything on their profile.

I checked Firefox - was fine, checked Safari - was fine, checked IE and it did come up, after refreshes - either blank or the photo showed and their was no next which was odd. The user with problem confirmed they were using IE.

When I looked at my profile in IE two of my left sided were blank. The same code is used for Home and Canvas and they were working fine!?!

I loaded the 'live' code into myTestAp and put it on my profile on the right hand side to see what happened and it seemed to be working there fine, even with refreshes!?!

So I changed the 'live' code to include a text box and various messages to see what was going on and then loaded into mytestAp.

It turns out that the stage.stageWidth & stage.stageHeight were more often than not being set to zero. Occasionally it would change to zero half way through (hence a picture but no button).

I also checked a couple of profiles who I know also had the app (eg - www.myspace.com/momothefrenchie) and their's were working!?! [Though it may now be suffering wth the amount of refreshe I've done]

When I uninstalled one of the apps then reinstalled and went back to the profile, suddenly both live and the test app would be working fine. Until I refreshed, when they broke again and.

I did test on another laptop and my apps are not working when looking at my profile. 

Now I've just flicked over to 'us' myspace and two are working. Refresh time - broke again....back to the uk, Ok again then bust.

Feels like something odd with IE and myspace but don't know how to explain it.

Any ideas?

Sounds fishy but I don't know what to make of it.  I know the app hight thing is undergoing a dev enhancement but that doesn't explain the other stuff.

I tried the random friend viewer in IE and had no probelms at all.

 I did.. and I did refresh several times and tested both on IE and Firefox.. and it was fine for me.

I say it seems to be a bit random though the problem profiles were UK and France....

Hi Rhonda, any word on the app height problems with flash?  I'm getting a lot of users complaining that the profile height is being cut off.  Thanks.
