I tried to publish my application but received feedback that I need some more information in the gallery.

My initial tries to change it resulted in "Description to long" error (with not indicator of the # of chars allowed bug #1).

Through painful trial and error I'm able to eliminate that error message but when I save, my changes are not present in the Gallery Description field on the form.

I believe the limit is 100 chaacters, but don't hold me to that.

 As far as it not saving, confirm that your developer account (the account that created the App) has it's localization settings set to the US. And then confirm the App's account (the account using the e-mail address and password you specified when you created it) is also set to the US.

Yep.. max characters at the present time is 100ish.  From everything I hear, this is planning to being upped soon.

EDIT:  I meant to say that I've heard watercooler talk that the description characters are going to be increased but no ETA sorry.
