Greetings Developers!

Just a quick note to inform you all that our age restriction controls are active. This means that any developer who is currently age restricting their application with code must now remove this code and use these controls to age restrict your application.  Keep in mind that underage members are still able to see the application in the app gallery, but will be unable to install it. 

We are enhancing this feature in the future so that members who do not meet the age restriction will not be able to see the applications in the gallery at all. Until that is put in place, it is important that your application description continues to display the apps age restriction.

To use this option, simply edit your application details and select the App Age Setting that is appropriate for your application.

You do not need to re-publish your application in order for these changes to go into effect.  If someone under the age restriction attempts to install the app, they receive the following message:

For future reference, the following app types MUST use age restriction:

• Video/Voice Chat (over 18)
• Dating apps (over 18)
• Alcohol related apps (over 21)

Please be aware that regardless of your region, all alcohol related applications must be restricted to over 21.

***Failure to comply may result in the suspension of your application.
